SELF AWARENESS

Deep in that space, inexorable time
Filled with a longing
To know what is mine
From birth to death, genes passed on through
Carrying my life, seeing what is true

Banish the ego, face up to myself
Search deep inside, for the joy and the wealth
of knowledge, based on experience and love
Please help me dear Spirit
Guide me from above
