I listened to the radio, a few days ago
A phone in discussion on topics of the day
Or you could say, ‘a phone-in moan-in’
For everybody had a gripe.

Unbelievable really;
Pay, The roads, and the hype of the media
Immigration, teenagers, the poor,
Unemployed and more. Who is to blame?
Well as long as someone is - the Government, a name,
A group put to shame
Then it seems some satisfaction is gleaned.

Is this the blame and shame society?
I say look around and be pleased, for you should feel at ease
With your life here in the West
No famine earthquakes or strife!
Try to enjoy Life!
Without pointing the finger of blame
It just leads to more of the same!
