Dance of Autumn
Last leaves of Autumn
In one frenzied dance,
Holding tight with their stems
Before their last chance
Slips away with the wind,
Tossing them high
Joining their fellows , into the sky.
Twirling and Whirling around and around
Till a carpet of colour forms on the ground.
Bare branches point fingers
Up to the sky,
The air becomes cooler,
Flocks gather to fly away for the winter
To much warmer climes
Leaving nature to hibernate,
Till more pleasant times
Arrive with the Spring,
Season of new birth
Refreshing our lives, Renewing the Earth!
