AFTER HOSPITAL

I started euphoric, I'm well
No more pain
And it lasted four days
Then it came back again.

I felt great despair, for
I 'd hoped it had finished
So forced here to rest
In two hours it diminished.

That gave me hope, a message to me
From the doctor who said
"Invariably, this will be
From doing too much, too early, too soon
So I vowed I would rest
Each day after noon!!
